Building Stronger Communities Through Green Spaces

Project Petals empowers people to transform their environments—creating access to green spaces, nurturing community leadership, and building resilience where it’s needed most.

Our Mission.

Project Petals works to revitalize and restore under-resourced and BIPOC communities disproportionately impacted by climate and environmental challenges.

We create healthy environments, increase food security, and raise awareness of environmental justice and equity issues that hinder community development. Through education, leadership training, and access to resources, we empower people to build sustainable futures and advocate for lasting change.

Our programs foster civic engagement, leadership, and hands-on service: our catalyst for transformation. To date, we’ve improved environmental conditions for over 100,000 New York residents and helped advocate for the Environmental Bond Act, the largest environmental initiative in New York’s history.

How We Create Change.

Environmental Revitalization

We restore and build sustainable green spaces in communities with limited access to parks and gardens.

Leadership Development

Through mentorship and the Youth Builders program, we train youth and community leaders to drive local environmental change.
